Is the hotel located on the beach?

We are located on the ‘Anclote’ beach. Our pool area has direct access to the delimited beach section for hotel use, which has lounge chairs for the exclusive use of our guests.

What are the Check-in and Check-out hours?

The Check-in time is at 2:00 PM. In case the room is available it can be occupied earlier. The Check-out time of the rooms is at 12:00 PM or earlier if the client wishes.

What are the pool hours?

The pool area is available from 9 in the morning to 9 at night. Pool towels can be requested at the hotel’s reception.

Is there a store nearby?

A few steps from the hotel on the same street it’s found a store called ‘El Anclote’ which can be distinguished by a blue entrance. The store has available a wide variety of products from groceries, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to various items such as insect repellent, creams, suntan lotion, etc., as well as some clothing items, bathing suits, hats, coolers, hats and even some souvenirs, like keychains.

Where can I find an ATM?

On hotel's main entrance there are several shops, and right at the ‘Scarlet’ boutique entrance, two ATMs are found, the one on the left side id for peso withdrawals and the one on the right side for dollar withdrawals.

Is there a medical service nearby?

Right in front of the hotel’s parking lot gate, is found a private doctor's office, as well as a pharmacy and an exchange house. If medical attention is required at night, the Punta Mita hospital is located on the main road, about four blocks from the hotel.

Is it safe to drink water from the taps?

The hotel water system is not adapted to provide drinking water. As complimentary service, the first day bottles of water will be placed in your room. At the hotel’s lobby is available a hot and cold water dispenser.

What is the weather like?

Punta Mita has a tropical climate, humid and dry with stable and warm temperatures throughout the year, divided in two seasons: a dry season from November to May, and a wet season from June to October. The coldest weather is commonly between January and February with an average temperature from 15 ° C to 24 ° C. and the hottest is usually between August and September with an average temperature from 22 ° C to 30 ° C. In the hottest months the thermal sensation can be up to 42 ° C.

Are pets allowed at the hotel?

Hotel Mesón de Mita is not a Pet Friendly hotel, however, service dog accommodations are accepted. It is necessary to present the document that guarantees that your pet is a service dog (size allowed up to 15k). When traveling with your pet you must also comply with the following points:

  • Attach the pet's vaccination record to the email.
  • The service dog has to wear a collar and a leash during the stay and it t will be the owner's responsibility to keep it close at all times.
  • It is necessary to leave guarantee deposit in cash at the check-in time that will be returned at check-out time as long as the pet regulations were respected and there aro no damage fees registered.

Is it possible to swim at the beach section in front of the hotel?

The hotel’s beach section is rocky, mainly used for activities such as paddle surfing, kayaking and surfing in the deeper areas. It is possible to go swimming wearing water shoes to protect feet from the rocks. We recommend to visit the next door beach sections that are only a few steps away from the hotel, where it’s much more comfortable to walk with bare feet.

Do the rooms have an ocean view?

Due to the architectural design of the hotel, none of the hotel rooms have an ocean view, it is our pool area that has a beautiful view of the ocean and the Marietas Islands.

Do you have private transportation service?

The hotel does not provide private transportation service, however, taxi service is available 24 hours a day in the Punta de Mita area, and constant public bus departures to Higuera Blanca and Puerto Vallarta are available from 6 am to 10 pm.

Is it safe to leave valuables in the room?

It is safe to leave valuables in the rooms, and for your comfort, all rooms have a safe for items such as wallets, passports and the like.

Is Wi-Fi service available at the hotel?

The hotel has three Wi-Fi networks that can be used in the rooms and main areas of the hotel.

Is smoking allowed at the hotel?

All rooms and common areas of the hotel are smoke-free. Smoking on the beach is allowed, please put the cigarette trash in the appropriate containers.

Does the hotel have an ice machine?

We do not have an ice machine but you can get ice at the ‘Anclote’ store located a few steps away from the hotel. We have some coolers that can be requested at the hotel’s front desk that you can use during your stay at no additional cost.
