    Getting to Hotel Meson de Mita:

    BY AIR: Fly to Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR), located in Puerto Vallarta 25 miles away from Punta de Mita, approximately a 45 minute drive.

    At the airport you will find taxi or van services and some car rental companies. To get from the Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International airport (Puerto Vallarta) to Punta de Mita by car, follow the directions “getting by car”.

    LAND:

    BY CAR FROM PUERTO VALLARTA:

    * Take the main road # 200 and follow the signs towards Tepic and Compostela.

    * Continue on this road for approximately 25 minutes (13 miles), on your way several small villages will be left behind. After passing the last village “Bucerías” take the exit sign on your right hand side to “Punta de Mita” and “La Cruz de Huanacaxtle”

    * Follow this road for another 12 miles until the end of the road.

    * Take the only free access street which leads to the restaurants area in “Punta de Mita”.

    * At the end of the street, turn to your left hand side and keep driving for less than 2 minutes until you see Hotel Meson de Mita’s entrance. (Reference: In front of the Marines).

    FROM GUADALAJARA:

    * Take the Guadalajara – Tepic highway and follow the “Tepic” signs.

    * Before going through Tepic, passed “Ixtlán del Río” follow the signs to “Compostela” and right after Compostela, watch for the Puerto Vallarta exit signs (200 HWY) and follow them.

    * On your way by 200 highway, some towns as Las Varas, La Peñita de Jaltemba, Rincon de Guayabitos, Los Ayala, El Monteon, Lo de Marcos and San Francisco (“San Pancho”) will be left behind.

    * Once you’ve passed San Pancho town, keep driving about 10 minutes and then turn to your right hand side into the Sayulita’s entrance (KM 123).

    * Continue driving by the road for 20 minutes approximately without deviating to Sayulita’s downtown access until you get to an intersection with the deviation sign to Punta de Mita and turn right.

    * Follow the road until it ends and enter by the only free access street which leads to the restaurants area in “Punta de Mita”.

    * At the end of the street, turn to your left hand side and keep driving for less than 2 minutes until you see Hotel Meson de Mita’s entrance. (Reference: In front of the Marines).

    GETTING TO PUNTA DE MITA BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION (FROM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT LICENCIADO DIAZ ORDAZ IN PUERTO VALLARTA):

    The most inexpensive way to get to Punta de Mita is taking a local bus: Exit the airport and cross the Francisco Medina Ascencio avenue by the peatonal bridge, once you are crossing you will be able to see the bus stop on the left side.

    At the bus stop take the bus from the “ATM” line (white or gray buses) that show the sign “Punta de Mita”. The price per person is around $40 pesos.

    Stay on the bus for about 45 minutes. Punta de Mita is the bus last stop, you don’t have to worry about making bus transfers.

    The bus will stop on the main avenue of Punta de Mita, so once you get off, you will have to take the free access street that takes you to the beach (you will see an OXXO store in the corner). Walk 2 blocks until you see the beach and the street end, then turn to the left and walk straight until you see the Hotel’s main entrance.

    The most easy and confortable way to get to Punta de Mita is by taxi:

    You can take either the airport taxi or the local taxi. Both of them will leave you at the hotel’s main entrance,

    1. The airport taxi service will cost around $1,800 pesos, you can take it at the airport’s main entrance.

    2 The local taxi service can be taken across the Francisco Medina Ascencio avenue next to the bus stop that is mentioned before in the directions of “How to get by local bus”, the price will be around $500 to $800 pesos.
